The Coordinating Federation for People with Physical Disabilities in Biscay (FEKOOR), is a non-lucrative, apolitical and non-denominational organisation, whose aim is to achieve equal opportunities for people with physical disabilities. Currently we are a group of 17 associations with more than 6,000 members, and we form part of:

• The Basque Council of Representatives for People with Disabilities (EDEKA).
  
  
• The Coordinating Confederation of People with Physical Disabilities of the Basque Autonomous Region (ELKARTEAN), which has over 16,000 members.
  
  
• And the National Coordinating Confederation of People with Physical Disabilities in Spain (COCEMFE) which comprises more than 900 organisations.
  
  

This Conference is divided into three main themes under which the following plenary sessions and round tables will take place:

• Equal opportunities, non-discrimination and universal accessibility. A message we want to launch to society in general.
  
  
• Guarantee access to health and social services, economic benefits and mobility aids to improve quality of life. A message for the public authorities.
  
  
• Independent life. A message for the disabled community itself.
